Manufacturing facilities in 3 countries provide specialized metallurgical expertise from product strategy to full production. CWI In-House technical staff can perform a wide range of services which include PPAP preparation and submissions, the recommendation for application requirements, process improvement, metallurgical analysis, and root cause identification process. The technical services team is staffed by metallurgists and technologists proficient in the full range of applications for each product.
Product certification testing is performed in accordance with ASTM International and ISO/EN Testing Standards.
Types of Testing
Our advanced testing methods provide a critical safety net, ensuring the quality, durability and effectiveness of materials. With high stakes and low margins for error in manufacturing, utilizing testing techniques is not just beneficial – it’s essential.
These methods fall into two categories:
Destructive Testing
Destructive Testing tests the physical properties of an object to its point of failure, finding out at what point (temperature, weight, etc.) a product will deform or be destroyed.
DT is used to ensure item quality before mass production. Often, products will be cut open and examined or tested to their point of destruction. These tests ensure that in demanding industry conditions, especially when alloy strength is crucial, our products will perform up to your expectations.
Non-Destructive Testing
Non-Destructive Testing is a group of quality control examination processes often used in mission-critical industries. In Aerospace, Medical and more, evaluating precise materials without compromising their structural integrity is vital.
These tests can find potential defects that are impossible to notice with the naked eye. Any small irregularity or crack can compromise end-use performance and longevity. Crucial robust NDT procedures ensure the quality, durability and effectiveness of your mission critical materials.
