Learn about C276 a Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium alloy offering resistance against pitting and crevice corrosion.
C276 Overview
Alloy C276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy that includes tungsten, offering exceptional resistance to a wide variety of corrosive environments. It is particularly effective against pitting and crevice corrosion. Known for its versatility, it is one of the most corrosion-resistant alloys available. A key advantage is its ability to resist the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat-affected zone during welding, making it suitable for chemical processing applications in the as-welded condition. The alloy also shows outstanding resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, oxidizing conditions, and numerous harsh chemical agents.
