Ensembles de câbles

The same precision and care used in our Aircraft and Military Cable Assembly manufacturing applies to our Medical Cable Assemblies too! With our full control of the production process, we are able to provide the attention to detail this industry requires.

Our Medical Assemblies can be used in a variety of applications such as surgical instruments, endoscopics and more.

Assemblies

Fil de cuivre

Fil de cuivre

Fil de cuivre finds use in Medical applications mostly due to its antimicrobial properties and conductivity. Hospital components that may be high touch by patients, from stethoscopes to bed rails and tables, often lean on the antimicrobial properties of Copper to inhibit the growth of bacteria or microbials among sick patients and hospital employees.

Copper Wire is also often found in implantable uses such as pacemakers, defibrillators or neurostimulators. The conductivity of Copper helps deliver the precise electrical signals these machines need to function and keep people safe. Its biocompatibility also allows for safe implantation inside the body and around tissues or living organs.

ELASTICORE® Core Wire

Core Wire is a single end wire used as a mandrel, or place holder, during Medical tubing extrusion. Once the tubing polymer has been extruded, the Core Wire is then elongated to decrease the wire’s diameter. The final step of the process is sliding the wire out of its “sheathing”, and leaving a round tube for medicine delivery, guide wire/device insertion or other technical applications.

As this product is manufactured for very specialized use, we took great care in deciding what material would be used. This product is made from annealed Stainless-Steel Wire, which promotes the elongation and friction needed in this application. Our Core Wire adds value to your medical tubing by:

  • Reducing lead times
  • Reducing cost
  • Eliminating potential contamination

Fine Wire / Guide Wires

Fil fin

Our Fine Wire is used in many surgical instruments, implants and more, wherever the tiny diameters of this product are beneficial. Being able to manufacture Fine Wire in sizes from 0.001” up to 0.032” with custom sizes available by request allows for precise applications and trusted quality from this product line.

Guide Wires are a specialized product line, typically used to guide linear objects like needles and tubes through confined structures like blood vessels, or in environments involved in treating other organs with fluids. These thin metal tubes require very precise manufacturing to ensure safety and successful application in confined spaces.

Applications

The versatility of our product capabilities allows for us to cater to many Médical applications. Continue reading to learn about the different applications and uses our products find in this industry.

Endoscopie

Endoscopy is the insertion of a long, thin tube directly into the body to observe an internal organ in detail.

With the importance of accuracy and precision in this application, strong flexible and fine wires must be used to increase both functionality and safety in examining hard to reach organs and other areas.

Orthodontie

Orthodontie

This dental specialty uses two specialized Médical products to help align your bite and straighten your teeth. Arch Wires run across the teeth, through brackets, constantly helping to pull teeth back into position.

Ligature Wire is tiny rubber bands which tie brackets and Arch Wires together to ensure there is no brace malfunction.

Orthopédie

A few of our product lines support Orthopedic applications, requiring precision manufacturing to ensure comfort and proper healing.

Applications like Cerclage Cable, a fixation wire that approximates bone fragments, and Spinal Rods, which offer support during Spinal Fusion surgery, lean on the reliability of our Medical Division to keep these procedures safe and secure.

Fermetures chirurgicales

Suture

For both wired stitches and staples, our products keep wounds shut and secured. Our Suture Wire is used to thread with a needle to hold body tissue together after injury or surgery.

Our Staple Wire keeps staples shut to close wounds where there is a concern about the size or potential inflammatory response.

Instruments chirurgicaux

For many invasive and complex surgeries, we have the right products to get the job done. Our Fine Wires are used in needles, probes, forceps and other instruments where precision and small diameters are needed.

Our metals can also be found in dental explorers, gigli saws and other small tools which need both durability and convenient, small sizes to perform effectively.

Surgery

Vascular

Vascular

Many Vascular applications, such as catheters, require tubing that must be precisely guided to the right areas through blood vessels and around organs. Our Guide Wires help navigate catheters successfully, allowing fluids to drain freely

Angioplasty procedures also use our product, with our Fine Wire being used to open blocked coronary arteries which can often cause disease.
